Invoicing & Payments
Can I renew my membership early?
Membership renewals open 90 days before your expiration date. If you need to renew sooner, please contact us at nagc@nagc.org. Your new expiration date will remain the same regardless of whether you renew early or at expiration.
Can I get a quote for membership/event registration?
Absolutely! Please email us at nagc@nagc.org to request a quote, and any other documentation you may need for organizational approval.
I no longer need my NAGC membership. Can I refund it in full or at a prorated amount?
All NAGC memberships are nonrefundable.
I just joined NAGC as a member. Why can't I access my member benefits?
Memberships must be approved manually in order to activate member benefits; this process may take up to 1-2 business days. A completed payment or PO is required in order for a membership to be approved.

For fastest processing, please do not send checks to the NAGC office. Instead, use the payment address below:

Note: the address above should be used for checks ONLY – all other mail should be addressed to NAGC’s DC office. Checks mailed to the NAGC office will still be processed, but processing may take up to 2 weeks.
My organization requires a W9 in order to process payments. Where can I find NAGC's W9?
Why am I getting a message saying “access to this invoice is restricted”?
If you are unable to view your organization’s invoices, you will need to request Management Access for the organization – please email us at nagc@nagc.org and we’ll get that set up for you.
Can my teammates and I get a single invoice for all of our memberships/event registrations?
If you’re looking to make a single payment for multiple memberships/event registrations, you can do this self-service by selecting multiple invoices under “Pay Balance” in your Member Compass. If your business office needs a single invoice, feel free to ask us for one at nagc@nagc.org.
Why can’t I see the profiles of other team members in my organization when I view my Member Compass?
If these other team members have NAGC accounts, they are likely not linked to your organization in our system. Reach out to us at nagc@nagc.org and we’ll be happy to help.
NAGC Events
Can I register someone else for an event?
You can register anyone else affiliated with your organization for an event! Follow this step-by-step guide. If you don’t see your teammates or the People tab in your Member Compass, reach out to Customer Service at nagc@nagc.org.
When and how can I submit a proposal to present at an NAGC event?
We accept proposals for Opportunity & Access Symposium, Teachers Summit, Gifted Coordinators Summit, and the Annual Convention during time windows in the months leading up to those events.
How do I access the professional learning content I've registered for?
For in-person events, you can confirm your registration by clicking on "My Events" under your Member Compass. For virtual events, log into your account at learn.nagc.org, and click on "Dashboard" to view all your online content.
Books & Publications
How do I access my online publications?
All NAGC members can access online publications, such as Teaching for High Potential, Parenting for High Potential, Gifted Child Quarterly, Gifted Child Today, and Journal of Advanced Academics. Access to publications varies based on membership type. Ensure that you are logged into nagc.org when visiting these sites, and learn more about our publications here.
I recently joined NAGC and haven't recieved my print publications in the mail. What should I do?

NAGC’s journal publishing partner requires that mailing lists be sent 6 weeks to 2 months in advance of the journal’s print date. If you’ve joined NAGC within 2 months of a specific journal (e.g. joining January 25th for a March issue), you may not receive that month’s print issue. You will still have online access to that issue, and you will also receive print issues up to 2 months past your membership expiration date.

If you’ve been an NAGC member for at least 3 months and still have not received any print issues, make sure your shipping address is complete and up-to-date in your Member Compass – even if your Billing and/or Personal address are filled in. NAGC cannot guarantee delivery of print publications to members with incomplete or missing shipping addresses. Please contact Customer Service at nagc@nagc.org with any questions about shipping.
When will I recieve the books I ordered?
Please expect a 10-14 day shipping timeframe for all book orders.

How can I connect with other NAGC members?
The best way to connect with other NAGC members is through our community platform, NAGC Engage. There, you can create and join discussion threads, become a part of Networks and Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and even message other members directly.
How do I join a Network or Special Interest Group?

Where can I find additional resources?
Our website is home to a variety of resources, including tipsheets, professional learning, position statements, and more. For families of gifted youth, the Gifted and Talented Resource Directory is a comprehensive database of resources for gifted students that includes schools and programs, content on various academic subjects, and materials for family members and educators. What does NAGC do?
NAGC empowers all who support children with advanced abilities in accessing equitable opportunities that develop their gifts and talents. We do this through advocacy, outreach, education, and research.
Who does NAGC serve?
NAGC is dedicated to uplifting and empowering those who support children with advanced abilities. NAGC aims to provide resources for anyone in a gifted child’s life, including family and community members as well as teachers, parents, and school faculty and staff.
Who are the members of NAGC?
Our members include K-12 teachers and administrators, gifted coordinators, higher education faculty and researchers studying gifted education, and parents of gifted young people.
Who leads NAGC and sets strategic priorities?
NAGC is led by our Board of Directors, who drive our programs and advocacy work. In addition to the Board, our Committee Chairs lead the eight Committees that guide NAGC’s resources and operations. All Board and Committee leaders are NAGC members who volunteer their time in service of the NAGC community. Together, the Board, Committee Chairs, and the broader NAGC membership help shape the organization’s direction and ensure its work reflects the needs of the gifted education community.
