NAGC26 Parent Day

Join us at NAGC26 Parent Day!

NAGC26 Parent Day gives families and caregivers the tools, resources, and networking opportunities they need to support their gifted and talented children. After attending this exclusive two-hour program, attendees may select from NAGC26’s Saturday-afternoon sessions across 17 topic areas and visit the Exhibit Hall. All attendees must pre-register; onsite registration is not available.

Parent Day Sessions

Plan to attend an exclusive 2-hour program from 8:00 - 10:00 AM. Saturday morning is geared especially for caregivers of gifted students. Saturday afternoon, you'll experience all NAGC has to offer by choosing from NAGC26’s Saturday afternoon sessions in 17 topic tracks, attending informal idea-sharing roundtables, and visiting the Exhibit Hall. Some of the caregiver sessions include:

  • Effective Advocacy for Parents and Educators: Advancing Gifted Policy in Illinois

  • When Does Being Perfect Matter? Almost Never: Helping Kids Let Go of Perfectionism
  • When School Isn't Working: Educational Alternatives for Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Youth
  • Parents' Experiences: Social-Emotional Development of Highly/Profoundly Gifted Children
  • Going from "Scream Time" to Screen Time: Healthy Relationships Screens & Social Media
  • Gifted Middle School Patterns: Helping Families and Schools Plan for Success Together
