Parenting a gifted child brings incredible opportunities alongside challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Understanding your child’s unique strengths is only part of the journey; knowing how to communicate their needs, navigate school systems, and advocate effectively can make a powerful difference in their educational experience.

In this practical and empowering AAGT Learning Lab, Dr. Rebekah West Keur will help parents move from feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin to becoming confident, informed advocates for their gifted and talented children. Participants will explore how to identify and communicate their child’s individual strengths and needs, better understand educational policies and procedures, and build productive relationships with teachers, administrators, and other members of their child’s educational team.
