This special, invitational colloquium will bring together policymakers, educational experts, and thought leaders dedicated to promoting equity in advanced learning opportunities for culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse gifted children. 

Topics of discussion will include: "The Dream Encumbered the Problem of Race, Poverty, and Gifted Education," "How Can We Be Change Agents?" "Unemcumbering: Building the Pipeline," "Unencumbering: Removing Persistent Barriers in School and Society," and "Creating Change," along with a student panel.
