The Illinois Association for Gifted Children empowers educators, families, and communities by advancing effective practices, programs, and policies to promote the development of children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs throughout Illinois.

To increase understanding throughout Illinois regarding topics that impact children with unique gifts, untapped potential, and advanced learning needs.
To engage and empower families and communities to support the needs of children with gifts, talents, and advanced learning needs.
To champion inclusive access to advanced learning programs and services, equitable learning opportunities, and diverse demonstration of excellence, so all children may develop their talents and fulfill their potential.
To support educators and schools in aligning professional practice with NAGC standards.
