NAGC Announces Milwaukee as Host City for 2026 Annual Convention
Washington, DC (July 24, 2025) – The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is proud to announce that its 2026 Annual Convention will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the state-of-the-art Baird Center from November 5-8, 2026. This will be the first time the largest annual conference for gifted and talented education will be held in Milwaukee, bringing together educators, researchers, counselors, parents, and advocates from across the nation in a city known for its vibrant educational landscape and unwavering commitment to gifted and talented students.
“Our team is thrilled to bring NAGC’s Annual Convention to Milwaukee for the very first time,” said NAGC’s Executive Director, John Segota. “Milwaukee’s commitment to innovation in gifted education makes it the ideal backdrop for our gathering of thought leaders and changemakers. We look forward to collaborating with Wisconsin’s passionate educators and showcasing the strength and progress of gifted education in both the state and Milwaukee Public Schools.”
The NAGC Annual Convention, which attracts over 2,000 attendees, will feature a comprehensive program of keynote addresses, breakout sessions, roundtables, and networking events designed to inspire and inform. Attendees can expect:
- Expert Presenters: Renowned researchers, educators, and advocates will share the latest insights and best practices in gifted education.
- Innovative Programming: Sessions will cover topics including identification and assessment, curriculum, differentiation, social-emotional needs of gifted learners, equity and access, and family engagement.
- Networking Opportunities: The convention will offer forums for connection and collaboration among educators at every level of experience and from every corner of the country.
- Gifted Education Expo: The convention will feature nearly 100 exhibitors, vendors, and sponsors, offering the latest resources, products, and information for gifted and talented students, talent development programs, and teacher preparation in the field of gifted and talented education.
Terese Weiler, President of the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted (WATG), and Mary Pape, President-elect of WATG, shared, “We are so excited that the 2026 NAGC Annual Convention will be held in Milwaukee.
