NAGC Announces 2025 Network Award Recipients To Be Honored at NAGC25 in Pittsburgh

The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 NAGC Network Awards. These annual awards from NAGC’s member Networks recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of gifted and talented education through leadership, research, advocacy, and service.  

 

The 2025 award recipients will be honored during the Celebration of Excellence at NAGC25 on November 15, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This event celebrates those whose work elevates the mission of supporting the needs of gifted and talented children across the country.

 

“Each of these awardees represents the best of what our field strives for—innovation, compassion, and a deep commitment to ensuring that gifted students from all backgrounds are seen, challenged, and supported,” said Catherine Little, President of the NAGC Board of Directors. “Their work reminds us that gifted education is not only about nurturing ability, but also about creating a future where all children can thrive and make meaningful contributions to the world.”

The 2025 NAGC Network Award recipients are:

Annemarie Roeper Global Awareness Network Award 

  • Angela Novak, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC 
  • Steven Haas, Indigenous Students Leap Ahead, Centennial, CO
  • The National Junior Honor Society at Benjamin Tasker Middle School, Prince George’s County Public Schools, Bowie, MD

 

Arts Network Research Award 

  • Daniel Müllensiefen, University of Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany

 

E. Paul Torrance Creativity Award 

  • Charlotte Cook Bomar, Watson Elementary School, Little Rock, AR 

 

Curriculum Awards 

  • Watershed Connection: Understanding What is in Your Water 
  • Dr. Subha Nagarajan, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH 
  • Renee D. Borton, Sandusky City Schools, Sandusky, OH

 

Dr. Alexinia Baldwin Gifted and ____ Award
