NAGC Response to COVID-19

The crisis with the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to unfold in this country causing significant consequences across all sectors of society. This situation is unprecedented, requiring major disruptions to our daily lives.

Over the past weeks, the NAGC team has been working hard to respond to this situation. As was previously announced, the Leadership & Advocacy Conference was postponed; we hope to announce a rescheduled date soon. Other in-person meetings scheduled for this time were moved to a virtual format.

As we continue to face new challenges, I want to share the following steps that NAGC is taking in response:

  • In accordance with public health guidance, NAGC will operate on a virtual basis with all staff teleworking starting today, Monday, March 16, until further notice.
  • Information and educational resources have been compiled for those dealing with sudden school closures. We will update the resources as new ones are discovered.

While we hope that we will be able to return to our normal lives soon, we are taking steps to ensure that all the programs, events, and resources you rely on from NAGC will continue. You can rest assured we remain committed to you, our members, and to our mission.

During this time, the main office phone (202.785.4268) is being answered remotely; however, the most efficient way to reach individual staff members may be via email. You may access the NAGC staff directory here. Office hours remain 9 a.m.-5 p.m. EDT.
