Network Leader Candidate Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a network leader. Read a description of the role of network chairs.

The call for nominations closes March 2, 2020, at 11:59 PM PT

The election opens May 4, 2020, and the term for succesful candidates begins September 1, 2020.


Chairs-elect typically serve for 2 years in that role and then become chair for 2 years. In order to run for a network leadership position, candidates must:

  • be a member of NAGC.
  • not served as chair of this network before (you may have served as chair of another network).

To check your NAGC membership status, login to the NAGC website and go to My NAGC.

  • Your resume/CV or a brief description of your career in gifted education
  • Four-color, high resolution photograph in jpeg, png, or gif format
  • Statement of candidacy that includes your vision for the network
Please use a high-resolution 4-color photograph
Your statement can be up to 150 words and it will be used online and in the ballot. The Elections Committee reserves the right to edit any statement over 100 words to fit the online ballot format.
