Krisel.SallyDr. Sally Krisel leads innovative programming initiatives designed to help teachers recognize and develop the creative and cognitive abilities of children from culturally and linguistically diverse groups. Hall County Schools has placed equal emphasis on competence and rigor -- ensuring that all students achieve basic levels of academic competence and ensuring every student the right to achieve as much as he or she is capable. Dr. Krisel’s position is dedicated to raising academic standards for all students, including those who are gifted and talented, by expanding rigorous curriculum offerings and integrating the know-how from programs for the gifted in order to develop students’ academic potential. Krisel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Columbia College and both master’s and doctoral degrees in Gifted and Creative Studies from the University of Georgia. She taught in both public and private school settings for 13 years; ten of those years were devoted to teaching gifted students in grades K-12.
