Resources for the Pre-K-Grade 12 Gifted Programming Standards
As school leaders and advocates implement the P-12 Gifted Programming Standards, we recommend several general sources for information and have included specific, selected resources in each standard area. The publications referenced below can be found in the NAGC Bookstore. Click here to browse our shelves.
NAGC website: The website includes information on myriad topics in gifted education, classroom specific information and advice found on the Teaching for High Potential pages, and numerous Webinars that have been archived in the Live Learning Center.
National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented (NRC/GT): The NRC/GT website offers monographs and research summaries on a range of subjects affecting the learning and development of gifted and talented students.
Gifted Child Quarterly: NAGC’s research journal, which began publication in 1954, is searchable online by subject, author, or article title. All articles are downloadable for a small fee (free for NAGC members). Abstracts of articles are available at no cost. Visit GCQ at its home on the SAGE publications website.
Research Base for the Pre-K-Grade 12 Gifted Programming Standards: There is a research base to support the gifted programming standards. Click here to see the research support for each educator strategy, the complete reference list, and tables aligning the programming standards to the previous standards as well as to the NAGC-CEC/TAG Teacher Preparation Standards.
