Call for Teachers and Parents: Write for NAGC Publications

Teachers! Are you proud of the innovative way you address the needs of gifted students in your school or classroom? Have you created a successful lesson or unit plan that aligns with the NAGC pre-K-Grade 12 Gifted Program Standards? Do you have a story to share about your participation in a Javits research study?

Parents! Have you uncovered a creative way to work with your school or community members to support your child's growth? Do you have a brief anecdote about "the lighter side" of life with high-ability children and youth? Have you recently read an engaging book about parenting or educating gifted children on which you want to share your opinions?

If so, we want to hear from you.

NAGC invites parents and teachers to submit manuscripts to two of our publications: Parenting for High Potential and Teaching for High Potential.

Parenting for High Potential

This magazine aims to provide parents and teachers of high-ability children in grades K-8 with informative and practical parenting advice and resources for developing gifts and talents in all children.

Editorial Assistance

If you are short on time and unsure whether a particular topic or lesson is suitable for these two publications, the editors will be happy to give you feedback. Write a brief outline of what you have in mind, and email it to the corresponding address listed above. The editor will advise you whether the information is a "good match" for that particular publication and can also offer feedback on the first draft of your article.

Book or Monograph Ideas

NAGC welcomes your ideas for new books or monographs that support parents and teachers working with gifted learners.  The NAGC Publications Committee has developed criteria for evaluating submissions.  You might want to review the manuscript criteria before submitting a book or monograph proposal to NAGC.
