Registration for the NAGC 55th Annual Convention and Exhibition includes:

Pre-Convention Activites
8:30 am - 4:30 pmFee: $149 Join your Network Leaders as they bring you in-depth sessions that offer opportunities to investigate a topic important to gifted education, in addition to providing invaluable networking. Coffee, lunch, and materials are included in the Wednesday Academy $149 registration fee. Be sure to register early and do select alternate selections. These Academies are sure to fill quickly!

Board Institutes October 30, 2008Morning Sessions: 9:00 am - 11:45 am Afternoon Sessions: 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm Spend the day with the NAGC Board of Directors. Choose two sessions (one morning, one afternoon) from a wide range of offerings listed below. Each NAGC Board member presents a topic that they feel is particularly timely and adds to the overall body of knowledge presented at the Annual Convention. These institutes cover a broad range of topics that reflect each board member's expertise and interests. Thursday’s sessions provide a unique opportunity to explore in greater depth many aspects of the field of gifted education with those who know it best.
Lunch and materials are included in the $149.00 Board Institute registration fee. Be sure to register early and please be sure to note alternate selections. These institutes can fill quickly.

Action Labs Action Labs are "Thursday field trips” to educational, historic, or just-plain-fun sites that showcase the area surrounding our Convention city. There are 9 different Action Labs from which to choose this year. The individual descriptions below provide additional information about what you will experience on each trip. The cost of each Lab includes transportation, entry fees, administrative fees and any materials; however, lunch arrangements vary by Lab.
There is no onsite registration for action labs and we do not keep waiting lists. You will receive a letter in early October confirming your registration and providing all details for your selected Action Lab. All Action Labs are within a one and a half hour drive of Tampa, and attendees will return to the Tampa Convention Center in time for the Opening General Session on Thursday evening.
Action Labs are popular and fill up quickly, so be sure to register as early as possible and note alternate selections on your registration form.

All registrations must be in the name of an individual and be accompanied by payment. A $30 processing fee will be charged for any substitutions or cancellations.Please read the instructions carefully before completing your registration. Membership Number: You must be an NAGC member in good standing at the time we receive your convention registration to receive the member discount. There is one discount per membership. Please indicate your membership number in the space provided. If you are not an NAGC member, you will receive a one-year membership with your registration at the nonmember rate.
Badge Name: Use this space to indicate how your first name should appear on your badge.
Organization: Indicate the school district or organization you represent or by whom you are employed.
Address and E-mail: Please provide a complete mailing address and an accurate E-mail where NAGC can send registration confirmations. Please indicate whether this is a home or work address.
Special Considerations: If you require special considerations to attend the convention, check the box and explain; you may attach a letter as necessary.
Wednesday Academies: Registration is on a first come, first-served basis. You may register for only one Wednesday Academy. Register early to reserve your place in your desired academy. If you have not received confirmation by October 15, 2008, please contact NAGC at (202) 785-4268.
Pre-Convention Action Labs and Board Institutes: You may register for either an Action Lab OR Board Institutes, but not both. All Action Labs and Board Institutes are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Action Labs : Action Labs are available through Early Registration only. There are no waiting lists for Action Labs.
Board Institutes: Choose one Morning Institute (A-H) and one Afternoon Institute (I-Q). The Institute fee includes admission to one morning session, one afternoon session, materials, and lunch. If your selected sessions are full, you will be assigned to an alternate unless you check the box directing NAGC not to do so.
Registration Policies: You may register for Wednesday Academies, Board Institutes, Action Labs, 3-Day Regular Convention, or any combination of these events. There is no one day registration. Institutional members are entitled to one (1) registration at the member rate; others from the same institution must register as nonmembers.
Full-Time Graduate Students: Please call NAGC at (202) 785-4268 to complete your registration, and receive the graduate student discount.
Important Deadlines and Onsite Registration: Early Registration must be postmarked by September 19, 2008. Regular Registration must be postmarked by October 21, 2008. All registrations postmarked after October 21, 2008, will be treated as onsite registrations and will be assessed a $30 onsite surcharge. NAGC does not accept faxed registrations. After October 21, 2008, NAGC strongly recommends you register online at or bring this form with you to Tampa.
Methods of Payment: Full payment or a purchase order must accompany each registration. NAGC accepts the following; Checks made payable to National Association for Gifted Children. Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX. Please include expiration date and signature. Purchase Orders: You must include the original PO with your registration, a number is not sufficient.
Cancellation Policy/Changes: Cancellations must be received at NAGC in writing, mail or fax, no later than Monday, October 27, 2008, and will be charged a $30 processing fee. This fee applies to cancellations and changes to your registration. Action Lab fees are non-refundable after September 19, 2008. All cancellations must be accompanied by a signature. E-mails are not accepted. Refund checks will be mailed after January 1, 2009.
