Jane Clarenbach covers a number of areas that address advocacy in its broadest sense – media, legislation, and public outreach. Jane works closely with partners such as the Council for Exceptional Children, the network of state gifted education associations, the Council of State Directors of Programs for the Gifted, and members of the NAGC Legislation and Advocacy Committee on federal legislative activities, articles, opinion pieces, and other projects that build public awareness of the needs of gifted children. Additionally, she works with the NAGC Publications Committee and handles questions about publishing with NAGC. Jane also works with the Professional Standards Committee, handling inquiries about the NAGC-CEC Teacher Preparation Standards in Gifted Education that are used in conjunction with CAEP accreditation.
