In Our Own Words: How does your gifted child or student experience the classroom? NAGC is looking for cartoons, verse, or short poems that shed light on a gifted child's experience. Click here.

University Gifted Program Survey: Please help update the Graduate Degree Program Directory. The updated directory will include non-degree programs and university-based gifted K-12 programs.

Pathways to Leadership: Did you know there are numerous NAGC opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills? Consider pursuing Pathways to Leadership. NAGC's Committees, Task Forces, and Networks are made up of members just like you who have discovered how they can contribute their time, energy, and ideas to important work on behalf of gifted children. No matter what your interest or role in gifted education, NAGC has a volunteer opportunity for you. View our Pathways to Leadership brochure (PDF/Adobe Reader format) to find out how you can get involved!

The NAGC membership voted in early 2007 to approve a new regulations (formerly "bylaws") framework for the organization.  This new structure means a new way of assembling committees, task forces, and work groups.

How to apply for a Committee

NAGC’s Board of Directors is committed to creating an open environment that provides increased opportunities for participation. With that in mind, we seek to conduct an open call for interested and qualified individuals each spring to contribute to the future growth and success of NAGC. The online “application to serve” gathers information about your interests, involvement, and experience in gifted education. Committee appointments are made in late August, after review by the Leadership Development Committee and Board approval. Take this opportunity to share your expertise and experience! NAGC’s committees accomplish important work in many content areas. As a committee member, you will devote time, energy, and ideas to lead NAGC projects and programs forward, and in turn, lead the field in supporting wide-ranging efforts on behalf of gifted children. You would be appointed to a one-, two-, or three-year term.
