NAGC and NCSSSMST: Together We Reach for the Summit

The National Consortium of Specialized Secondary Schools in Math, Science, and Technology (NCSSSMST) leads, serves, informs. The mission of NCSSSMST, the nation’s alliance of secondary schools and programs preparing students for success and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, is to serve its members’ students and professionals, to foster collaborations, to inform STEM policy, and to advocate transformation in education. NCSSSMST offers many opportunities each year for students and professionals to evolve relationships and collaborate: the Annual Student Research Conference; the Keystone Center National Youth Policy Summit; Summer Institutes with College and University Affiliate Members; and now the Joint Annual Professional Conference in conjunction with NAGC’s 59th Annual Convention and Exhibition in Denver, Colorado.
NAGC and NCSSSMST overlap on key focuses of highly motivated and talented students. The Consortium kicks off with a reception on Wednesday evening, and then educational sessions on Thursday, November 15 at the Grand Hyatt. NCSSSMST will remain visible throughout the NAGC Convention, bringing fresh perspectives on STEM and secondary school programming. If you’re interested in secondary school STEM issues, make plans to attend the concurrent sessions on Thursday, November 15. An additional fee is charged for materials, breaks, and lunch.
